FAQ

Purba Questions

Why is the Purba incense stick jet black?

The matte-black finish comes naturally from high-grade charcoal blended with dark black agarwood. We use zero artificial dyes or coal tars.

What kind of atmosphere is Purba suited for?

Purba is built for deep focus, evening space clearing, and quiet personal ritual work. It has a strong, memorable temple-smoke character.

What does Purba mean?

Purba means ancient in Indonesia. This blend pays homage to the sacred resin myrrh.

How long does Purba need to dry?

Because agarwood and charcoal doughs hold moisture well, allow 48 to 72 hours in a cool, ventilated room before the burn test.

What makes it intermediate level?

Purba contains charcoal for its jet-black color. This ingredient makes the dough less stretchy. We recommend learning how to hand-roll incense before getting this blend. For a beginner kit, please get Rosha.
